Girl. You used to love wearing earrings but didn’t like putting on dresses. You wore your mom’s lipstick but also played soccer with the boys in jeans until they were ripped. People said your lips were too big, your skin was too tan, your personality was too strong. Well, I think you looked cute even though I know you didn’t agree with me, and I’m so thankful that you always held your ground despite the fact that it wasn’t always easy.

Every girl needs to realize her true power. We all know a girl whether she’s our daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, friend, student, or the little girl inside ourselves. Listen to her. Protect her. Teach her. Support her. Leverage her. Empower her. Believe in her.
